Hey all. I figured given recent downtimes of Skanderbeg that you might have noticed that I should
make a quick post detailing what exactly is going on.
The shortest way to explain it, is that we are facing scaling issues related to having to store
what is upwards of 150 000 savefiles and about 750 000 processed datafiles accumulated throughout this tool's years of functioning.
We had gotten to a point where our main server wasn't capable of storing all of that a long while ago. The solution at the time was to offload
a part of the data to an external storage solution hosted on Google Cloud. Sadly, currently we're getting to a point where even that is becoming less and less
financially feasible(especially given declining funds from our Patreon), so in the coming weeks and months I'll have to think of a way to solve the issue that
wouldn't require me to pay too much from my own pocket.
In the meantime as of yesterday I ran a script that compressed all of the remaining saves on our main server, which should hopefully last us for a while.
I sincerely apologize for all the downtimes that you've had to deal with over past weeks and months and promise to work towards fixing that.
If you would like to support us in doing so, you can head over to our Patreon, though, and I'd like to stress it,
it's absolutely not required and I'll do my best with what I have in any case. And for now, cheers all and hope you have a great day ^_^ Jarvin
